I'm with a group of people and we're on another planet. The atmosphere felt electric and we were looking for a place to rest. We came upon a ruined building. We went inside and put our things down and started to mill about the place just checking it out. I wandered outside alone into a "ruined courtyard" type area. I was checking things out and was very excited about this place. Somehow I knew we weren't on earth anymore. As I looked out into the distance toward the hills, I was awestruck by some trees on the hill. As I focused on the trees, I was immediately transported there...just a thought away. I wondered why the trunks of the trees were neon red and why there was a fire burning off in the distance behind the hills.

I "thought" my way back to the building and went inside to tell everyone. People were sitting around playing cards and just resting. I was excitedly telling everyone to come look when the entire mood changed. A feeling of dread came upon us. Some invisible, scary beings suddenly started to appear. Everyone was frightened and some people tried to run. I stood still in my panic, wondering what to do next. As I thought about running, something I couldn't see grabbed me by the back of my hair and held me there. I knew I would never get away from it now. I was sat down in a wooden chair, frozen. Then the atmosphere relaxed and some of the others went back to their activities...playing cards. I looked at my friends with pleading eyes and they looked back with empathy but we all knew I was fated to whatever was going to happen next.

What happened next was that my chair lifted off of the ground and started an extremly slow spiral levitation upward. I couldn't move. Then the spiraling upward got increasingly faster until I was up inside some kind of funnel. I reached a crescendo and then started to spiral downward. As I moved closer to the bottom, I realized I was in spirit form and was being placed inside another body. I suddenly found myself coming down into the body of a young man, someone I didn't know. He had on a cowboy hat, white shirt and jeans. He was sitting in a restaurant somewhere in the midwest of America with other young men and they all formed a band. I got the name Chris and had the last name but forget it now. Anyway, I was still my own female consciousness, but I found myself inside the body of a man!! My friends were asking me questions and I was scared to answer as if they'd know I was a woman inside. I looked around the room and saw a couple of my waking life friends and wanted to call out for help but knew they'd never recognize me in this new body.

Something was about to happen in the restaurant and everybody's attention was called to some man who was about to make an announcement....that's when I woke up.

I haven't as yet come up with an interpretation. It seemed so straight-forward and linear and seemed like a good example of reincarnation.
