| Undead G, 32, graphic artist, Houston, Texas 1975-1998 I've had dreams with a recurring theme for over twenty years. These involved undead creatures zombies chasing me. The settings and situations varied, but I was usually fleeing in terror from a seemingly endless onslaught of the undead. Beginning about two years or so, the character of these dreams began to change. At first, I started fighting back rather than just running away in a blind panic. In at least one dream, I turned the tables on the pursuing undeads by causing them to crash their vehicle. They were trapped, and I went back to ruthlessly kill them one by one. Within the last year or so, I've started to communicate with my pursuers, even as they've become less and less zombie-like. G's Interpretation I usually had an 'undead dream' during times of change, stress and emotional turmoil. For many years, I dealt with the associated feelings by avoiding and suppressing them. I believe the undeads were dream manifestations of my unacknowledged and unarticulated emotions. In recent years, I've begun to recognize and deal with these feelings more directly, and my dream-relationship with them has changed to reflect this shift. |
